Mayer wrote this song after deleting numbers out of his cell phone that he knew he would, more than likely, never call again. This experience provided the inspiration for the song. This is an arrangement that was started in 2012 while I was in my MM program at Ithaca. I completed the arrangement this year upon starting my DMA program at James Madison University.
