This classic Christmas/Holiday song from Howard Blake's 'The Snowman' was a massive hit in the UK in the early 1980s, influencing a generation of children, on a par with the Charlie Brown franchise or the Grinch in the US.
Often associated with then boy soprano Aled Jones, it tells a story about flying in the sky with friendly gentle snowman, that gives many audiences the Holiday feels.
This TTBB arrangement was originally devised for the London Gay Men's Chorus in 2004, and was revived for the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus in 2023 by the arranger, Charles Beale. There is a short Baritone solo at the start.
