SATB choir, assembly, organ accompaniment - Beginning

SKU: GI.G-5943

Composed by Roy Hopp. Edited by Pearl Shangkuan. Christ the King A, Christ the King B, Christ the King C, Easter 7 C. Calvin Institute. Tune Name: Franklin Park. Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. GIA Publications #5943. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-5943).

English. Text by Thomas Troeger.

This hymn composed to a strong text of Thomas Troeger is equally strong in melody and structure. The affirming and hopeful refrain, “Christ will come again,” unifies the structure appearing three times as pillars for each stanza. The hymn stands firm for unison assembly, or with SATB choir in concertato fashion. An excellent choice for Christ the King and themes of second coming and hope.

Thomas Troeger text.
