Composed by John Bacchus Dykes (1823-1876). Arranged by Mark Rippe. Sacred,Traditional. Score. 3 pages. Mark Rippe #135729. Published by Mark Rippe (A0.525195).

StA OV00113. The hymn tune "Melita" is perhaps best known as the "Navy Hymn". This variation (appropriate for prelude offertory, or even funeral) calls upon a counter-melody from the Evening Prayer from Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel". This arrangement is dedicated to the memory and service to our nation of Captain Eduguardo Martin Coppola (1919-2022). A final stanza hymn setting with optional short and long interludes is also available (StA H00156), as is a short variation appropriate for a postlude (StA OV00121). All are part of the St. Andrew's Collection.
