SKU: A0.1566231

Composed by Mozart to Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Christopher Kies. This edition: audio, pdf. 19th Century, Classical, Instructional, Romantic Period. Score. 43 pages. Christopher Kies #1138316. Published by Christopher Kies (A0.1566231).

These piano duets are arrangements of famous and primarily orchestral melodies from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are designed for use by piano teachers to play with their beginner students. Normally, piano students must wait years before being able to play great music on this level. These arrangements give the melodies, with simple rhythms and intervals, to the student who plays the primo part, while the teacher's part, the secondo, is given all of the accompanying notes, thus the music is rendered in a form which is quite complete and true to its original version. Several of the pieces are included twice, in two different keys: the original key and also in the easier key of C major. The melodies are arranged in approximate chronological order, and there are ample suggestions for fingerings in the student's parts. Inquiries about these and other arrangements and compositions by Christopher Kies may be directed to christopherkies.com.
