It begins with a rubato intro featuring the alto sax and piano, shortly followed by the other instruments entering in tempo. The quirkiness of the original is captured in the brass hits, representing the "turning off" of a light switch, which then transitions into an open solo section. Out of the solos comes a short horn soli which quickly transitions into an ending fit for Broadway. There are rapid time changes with increasingly difficult parts that finally conclude on a swingin’ last phrase.
