Brass Quintet (A Piccolo Trumpet, Bb Trumpet, F Horn, Trombone, Tuba) - Level 5

SKU: BZ.ENMS-84547

Composed by Itaru Sakai. Ensemble. Score & parts. Bravo Music #ENMS-84547. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84547).

This work was composed in 2014 for Michiko Inagaki, trumpet in City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra and Brass Ensemble Rose. In January 2015, Brass Ensemble Rose premiered the piece at Tenryu Mibu Hall in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka. The brass quintet features her favorite piccolo trumpet, and its title comes from her name "Michiko" (Michi means "road") as she pursues her trumpet career.
Did you know that there's a highway interchange that looks like a trumpet bell? The road leading from the tollhouse to the main highway is actually named "Trumpet Road."
Therefore, I would be delighted if you could perform this piece with a sense of speed and excitement, akin to driving onto the highway.
(Itaru Sakai)

It's a lively piece, and the chord progressions are quite impressive. Enjoy both the catchy melody and the chords that add a touch of vibrancy!
(Michiko Inagaki, City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble Rose).
