Trois Fragments Concert Band - Sheet Music

Trois Fragments was originally written for Kwassui High School's Woodwind and Percussion ensemble. It was re-edited to be longer (7 min) consisting of three parts that can be played without pause. The first part, Allegro is centered on and developed around notes D and G. The flute part in measure 9-11 indicates "multiphonic harmonics". With the fingering of low D, blow slowly to resonate overtones and create multiphonics. It's not to be done by multiple players individually playing D, A, F#. The second, Virtuoso has many solos. "Long falling down ad lib." is meant for improvisation. The last song, "a la maniere de Latino" is written in Latin feel, very different from the two previous songs. The switch in style needs to be achieved. Cajón patterns can be personalized. (Masamicz Amano)
