Brahms, Trio in Eb major, Opus 40, Edition Peters

One of the great chamber works incorporating horn. This is a clearly printed edition. The page layout necessitates a page turner for the pianist for performance. Layout on the other two parts is workable but could be printed to work better. I was interested to see the Breitkopf & Haertel edition but the lengthy procurement time did not fit with my performance schedule for the trio. The Peters is a good edition of a great work.

BRAHMS Horn Trio, Peters Edition

The editing is very well done for the violin part. I would try three different fingerings and always end up with the editors recommendation. This is a very beautiful, rich composition. I love it.
