L'arrangiamento per quartetto di sassofoni della trilogia Mozart-Da Ponte nasce con l'intento di celebrare la straordinaria collaborazione tra Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart e Lorenzo Da Ponte, reinterpretando alcune delle pagine più iconiche di Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni e Così fan tutte per una formazione moderna e versatile. L'arrangiamento si apre con la Sinfonia de Le Nozze di Figaro, che funge da ouverture, introducendo l'atmosfera vivace e brillante che caratterizza l'intera trilogia. A seguire, ho selezionato le arie più celebri e rappresentative delle tre opere, creando una sorta di "medley" che permette di esplorare le diverse sfumature emotive e drammatiche dei personaggi.
L'adattamento delle arie per quartetto di sassofoni ha richiesto una particolare attenzione alle dinamiche e all'equilibrio sonoro, garantendo che ogni strumento potesse esprimere al meglio le qualità vocali e orchestrali. Il contrasto timbrico tra i quattro sassofoni permette di ricreare l'ampia gamma espressiva dell'originale, rispettando le sfumature e le emozioni che caratterizzano ciascuna aria.
