The TranSiberian Railroad is a great winter show piece. The full audio is on SPOTIFY and a sample audio is here on ArrangeMe. It is a 6 minute string orchestra piece in a minor, 4/4 time, that mimics the sound of a train making it's way through the Siberian Tundra in the winter. Descending violins and violas sound like snow falling, sometimes swirling in the wind. The repetitive eighth note arpeggios, in almost all voices mimics the constant turning of the wheels, the loud and answering (call/response) soft dissonances mimic two trains passing each other distantly, and the bass whole notes exemplify the sheer magnitude of a massive iron train in forward motion; all with secondary melodies and motifs weaved throughout for a cacophony of sound. It is rated at "Medium/Easy" difficulty, being appropriate for a high school string orchestra or an advanced 8th grade string orchestra. The individual parts are sold separately; Violin1, Violin2, Viola, Cello, and Bass. You should not order parts without ordering the full score.
