Composed by Tom Swafford. Blues,Contemporary,Jazz. 31 pages. Tom Swafford #3585291. Published by Tom Swafford (A0.914154).Fun, energetic, programmatic piece for woodwind quintet. The title comes from signs around Times Square in the early 2000s directing traffic away from Broadway. The piece begins with a depiction of the honking of horns and yelling of motorists, which transforms into a dance-like blues shuffle. Amidst the chaos is a quote from J. S. Bach's C-sharp minor fugue (BWV 873). The piece is in 12/8, with a "written-out" swing rhythm, playable by musicians from a classical or jazz background.
