Through Perseverance We Continue depicts and celebrates the strength and courage we find within ourselves when faced with hardship and loss. This work was commissioned by the Decorah (Iowa) Music Boosters in remembrance of two local percussionists, Jerry (JD) Dean and Erick Fadness, who impacted everyone around them greatly through their gifts of music and percussion. Through Perseverance We Continue is written for 12 percussionists and includes parts for everything from mallets and timpani, to marching tenors and marching machine!
