Three Rivers represents the diversity of the Monongahela Valley area of Pennsylvania, where the composer spent his early years. Commissioned by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, this stunning work depicts the industrial sounds of steel making, the jubilant sounds of a band in the park and the jazz heritage of the area. This noted composer brilliantly melds two thematic elements together to form an exciting percussive conclusion. A wonderful programmatic work for mature bands!
