Byers, much like Quincy Jones, provided the Basie band with some of their best music ever recorded. "The Second Time Around" is a slow swinging masterpiece. It is a great, dynamic chart that will stretch your band to play both very loud and very soft, and it will certainly be a favorite with your audiences.
