The Restless Soul - Flexible Band 5-7 Parts & Percussion B-Flat Clarinet - Sheet Music

2009 All Japan Band Competition Required Piece V September 22, 2018 Revised premiere by Tokyo ELEMENTS This is an arrangement of "Restless Soul" written for the 2009 All Japan Band Competition. I made sure that this version also expresses clear musicality. The title has the intention that a collection of small efforts will eventually transform into one enormous one. It depicts how music builds to the profound. The melody emerges in the flow of the initial 6-tuplet, which transforms and dominates the piece. A strong intermittent unison melody emerges. It fluctuates and progresses, then the 6-tuplet reappears and the energy builds to a conclusion. Please note that the direction of the music changes depending on the presence or absence of the percussion part. On the other hand, it is also good to explore various musical options. (Daisuke Ehara)
