It is one of the band's best-known songs. "The Logical Song" was a hit upon its release as a single, peaking at number seven on the UK Singles Chart and number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The song spent three months on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1979. In Canada, it remained at number one on the RPM magazine chart for two weeks.
