Beautiful flugel or trumpet ballad feature with highly textured voicings and an interesting harmonic structure. Nice solochorus for piano. Written in honor of the great Howard Rumsey, the former leader/bassist of the Hermosa Beach, CA based "Lighthouse All-Stars." Lead trumpet to a high written "E." 5/4/4/4 no doubles required but flugels as requested at several points will contribute to the lyricism. Recorded on "Glenn Cashman & the Southland Big Band!".
