Composed by Hiroki Takahashi. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 3:20. Bravo Music #ENMS-84471. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84471).

Commissioned by the renowned percussionist Mariko Yamamoto.

Since the theme of the performance, where this work was premiered, was "Flower Dance", I composed this piece with "language of flowers" as the concept. Ms. Yamamoto gave me some ideas for the style and the atmosphere of the music; I chose relevant flowers for her.

Movement 1 is "Sweet Pea – Affectionate Memory". The second movement is "Gypsophyllas – Innocence". Movement 3 is entitled "Cattleya -Mature Charms". The Spanish style depicts an elegant and mysterious lady. Original instrumentation was for four percussion and flute but it has been arranged for percussion quartet.

This is a great piece for concert and contest alike. (Hiroki Takahashi).
