The Six Triple Eight is a war drama film about the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-Black, all-female battalion in World War II. The film stars Kerry Washington, Oprah Winfrey and Susan Sarandon and tells the true story of the battalion's mission to deliver over 17 million letters to the front lines of World War II. Songwriter Diane Warren has won an Academy Honorary Award, Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and three consecutive Billboard Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year from 1997 to 1999. EMI's UK Chairman Peter Reichardt has called her "the most important songwriter in the world". "The Journey" is an uplifting power ballad and sure to resonate with audiences everywhere - it is also nominated for Best Original Song at the 97th Academy Awards.
