This piece was written for a small ensemble of students in grades 6-8 containing a flute, clarinet, trumpet, violins, and a cello. It can be adapted for any instrumentation by contacting the composer. This piece is an excellent introduction to 6/8 time signature and the skill of hooked bowing for the string performers. The skill level between the three violin parts is very diverse, with some parallel third divisi in the Violin 2 part. Run time is about 60 seconds at full tempo, and performance speed can be lowered to make it more achievable for younger groups.
