This piece was inspired by the popularity of the U.K.s TV programme "Strictly Come Dancing". Formulaic run of the mill tangos are very easy to write, there are probably thousands out there. But, as Astor Piazzolla showed, the Tango can be asubtle as well as a sexy dance, so our Hedgehog has three themes and is carefully crafted to sound harder for the soloist than it really is ! It works especially well as a relaxation or encore piece : you will love it!
