The Green Hill was commissioned by Swiss euphonium virtuoso Erich Schmidli. Bert Appermont liess sich dazu von keltischer Musik inspirieren und schuf eine Fantasie, in der alle Facetten des Flugelhorns zur Geltung kommen. Schonelyrische Melodien, virtuose Laufe und farbenreiche Tuttis (Solist und Klavier) wechseln einanander ab. Ein schones Stuck fur die Buhne.
