This arrangement is based on Victor Hely-Hutchinson's intricate counterpoint arrangement of the carol as part of his 'Carol Symphony'. This arrangement also features the haunting melody of The Coventry Carol. All parts have interest and the melody is passed between the instruments.
Emma Butterworth is a composer for film and TV and also a successful Suzuki cello teacher. She has an intimate knowledge of how to write for strings, and has written and arranged a vast number of pieces for cellos and strings especially. All pieces have been played and performed.
