This festive setting of LANCASHIRE is particularly appropriate for Easter when using The Day of Resurrection text, and also useable for general use when using Lead On, O King Eternal. The piece begins with a brass and organ introduction, followed by the first stanza in unison. The stanzas are each treated differently and conclude with an expansive arrangement of the final stanza with a soaring soprano descant. Alternate text Lead On, O King Eternal may be used.
