God became a Baby, tender, sweet and mild. Growing up with meekness, He would reconcile Ev’ry sin and weakness from man’s ev’ry flaw. Coming as God’s Infant Son, He kept heav’nly law.
God became a Baby from a foreign land. He came down in wonder as a common man. Growing as a child, trusting Father’s plan, He became our greatest Friend showing in each hand.
Chorus: The Christmas Child, God’s holy Son, became a Babe to save each one. To be his holy heir in truth, I must be as a child too.
