This is an arrangement of the Carrollton March for Oboe and Bb Clarinet. The Carrollton March was composed by Arthur Clifton to be performed at a ceremony for the completion of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad on July 4, 1828. The original arrangement of the piece was created for piano. This oboe and Bb clarinet duet arrangement passes the melody between oboe and clarinet. This march features less repetition than the original piano score, opting instead for changes in instrumentation to provide a more interesting repertoire. The piece includes the march and the trio portions of the Carrollton March. Grade 3 difficulty. Student grades 10, 11, and 12 are recommended. Students are encouraged to perform this piece for solo and ensemble competitions in the United States of America. This piece is a 4/4 time signature with a tempo marked for quarter note equals 120 BPM. The time to fully play this piece at 120 BPM is 152 seconds (2:32). This piece is 75 measures long.
