    great book for early intermediate

I've been teaching from this book for over a year. I really like it and have gotten a lot of mileage out of it with many different students. The wide range of genres covered here is what's great. And the melodies for the pieces are usually recognizeable and great. Not every song has a knock-out arrangement, but by and large, it's really good. The other reviewer noted that there 6 year old son doesn't like the songs. Well, 6 is probably a bit early for this book, and besides, one kid's taste does not make this book poor. The book does it's job well.
