There are more settings of this text than you can count! And though the writing of this setting is straightforward, there is something soothing and new about the triplet figure that leads into the downbeat of most measures. The verses can be clearly articulated due to Palmer’s homophonic writing, if your choir is capable, you might try doing most of the last verse a cappella.
