Que pourrais-je dire encore de ce tango, moi qui ai le privilège de ne presque plus avoir à vous le présenter ? Mais, quitte à me répéter, je mentionnerai tout de même que s'il demeure l'archétype de la pièce faussement facile, il doit pour autant (et une fois pour toutes) être pris sur le ton de la plaisanterie et rien d'autre. J'ajouterais encore que les plaisanteries, afin de bien "fonctionner", doivent généralement se faire avec malice, plaisir et brièveté. Et une certaine technique aussi !
Musiciens "sérieux", donc, s'abstenir.

Showcase for the guitar
This Tango for the classical guitar takes much discipline to learn and to play well. Roland's interpretation of the Tango is truly masterful. Keeping the Tango rhythm is key. This piece will be in my performance repertoire for life!

Hard to play but beautiful
Very challenging to learn but so impressive and beautiful on the guitar. Just practice and practice and one day it will be mastered. The scale runs are challenging. I think this is Dyens best piece along with Song Capricorne and Lettre encore. I feel this arrangement is well figured out with fingering.
