This slipcase contains all of Joseph Haydn's famous symphonies from his mature creative period: the six “Paris” Symphonies (Hob. I:82-87), the twelve “London” (Hob. I:93-104) as well as five symphonies whose origins lie in between these and of which three (Hob.I:90-92) could be referred to as “Paris Symphonies, Part II”, since they were written for the same French client as “Part I”. The musical text is taken from the Haydn Complete Edition, the commentary texts were newly written by Haydn experts. A true treasure forall who are interested in the classical symphony, and an essential acquisition for Haydn enthusiasts!
