Everything is in the title...
'Swinging' because everything is played in uneven eighth notes, and at a brisk pace. "Rondo" because, according to the dictionary, the Rondo is an instrumental piece built on the alternation of a chorus and several verses. That’s roughly what happens in this quartet (although the chorus undergoes several variations). Add a few percussions, some pizzicato passages, and you get a piece whose atmosphere evokes the jazz of the 1940s.

« Swinging » car tout se joue en croches inégales, et à un rythme soutenu. « Rondo » car, selon le dictionnaire, le Rondo est une pièce instrumentale bâtie sur l'alternance d'un refrain et de plusieurs couplets.
C’est à peu près ce qui se passe dans ce quatuor (bien que le refrain fasse l’objet de plusieurs variantes).
Ajoutez quelques percussions, quelques passages en pizz., et vous obtenez une pièce dont l’ambiance évoque le jazz des années 40.
