This beautiful clarinet solo is perfect for a reverent moment in church services or daily devotions, particularly before or after Scripture readings. It helps calm the soul and enter into the peace of God, leaving space to meditate on the words of the song and Scripture of the day.
It is a reasonably easy arrangement, so as to let the musicians focus on the deep solemnity and unhurried mood of the piece, and is also appropriate for a prelude, postlude, or other instrumental music

An idea is to use this solo as a prelude or postlude a week or two prior to introducing the congregation to the lyric version, as it helps familiarize the congregation with the melody so it's even easier to learn and sing in a later service.
