What child hasn't longed to put on a raincoat and splash in the puddles when it's raining outside? Students can stay dry yet enjoy a rainy day through the lyrics of this piece. Written in Middle C, the single line melody is shared by both the right and left hands. Harmonic thirds and fourths are "sprinkled" throughout, and four-note clusters help to depict the "splash" in the puddle. Don't get wet!

Lots of Fun!
My student really enjoyed this song! Montgomery did a great job of imitating splashing in puddles. This song is a good way to teach staccato, playing more than one note at a time, ties, dynamics, and many other things!
