This song was released in Australia in September 1966, going to Number 4 in the Australian National Top 40. Released worldwide in February 1967, going to Number 1 in New Zealand and Number 3 in the Netherlands. Covers have been recorded by Status Quo (1968), The Searchers (1972), and David Garrick.
This arrangement is for Saxophone Quartet - Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone. It is in the same key as the original Bee Gees recording, including the modulations. The Baritone Saxophone part emulates the left hand ostinato of the piano of the original recording, while the lead line (vocal melody) is passed from Alto to Tenor to Soprano.
