This extended symphonic poem was written days after the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001 in which thousands of innocents were killed in a senseless act of hatred. The work is scored for solo violin with full orchestra. The mood transforms from sadness and grief at the outset to ultimate resolution and hope. The individual orchestral parts, including the solo violin part, are appended to the full score.
