The first movement begins with a stately melody that is developed throughout the entirety of the movement. The Mannheim-rocket figures that alternate between the right and left hands in the closing sections put the performer's dexterity to the test. The second movement is slower with a thoughtful and content melody, and the sonata closes with a cheerful bouncy theme. The performer's dexterity is put the test with the several rapid fire repetitive descending chord figures in the right hand, and the final movement contains several elements from the first movement as well.
