I began initial work on it in December 2022--just another hobby project, I thought. Little did I know that this would take me on a journey that has completely altered the direction of my career! This piece has opened many doors for me already as a composer, and I hope that it may open more in the future. In my mind, it tells the story of the pandemic and the lockdowns--the anxiety, the isolation, the little glimmers of false hope, and the depression I had to fight in the midst of it. This was a difficult piece to write, and even harder to play! Nevertheless, it means a great deal to me, and I hope that you, listener, may also find some joy, sadness, or whatever other emotions you encounter here.
