Something for Cat – Bossa Nova for Small Big Band

Detailed Description

4 Saxes, 5 Brass, 3 Rhythm – Intermediate

Composed by Henry Mancini. Arranged by David Kolinski-Schultz for Small Big Band. Score, Set of Parts. 25 pages. Published by PDQ Music.

From the soundtrack for the 1961 movie "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" for which Mancini won the Oscar for Best Original Score, this 1960’s-style bossa nova sets the mood for a sophisticated New York party scene.  Very danceable and a fun chart to play with solo sections for trombone and tenor sax.
