This is Scott Joplin's famous ragtime serenade which was featured in the film The Sting. The melodies are haunting and a bit melancholy. The tango rhythm in the left hand is overlaid by the right hand's ragtime syncopation, often in complex rhythms, and in very slow march time. The right hand is required to play filled-out octave chords in some sections, and the left hand sometimes covers a wide range in stride styling. Keys of C Major and F Major.

    Christmas present

    This will be a Christmas gift for my daughter, who is learning the piece from my 40 year-old worn-out copy. Delivery was prompt. Paper is of high quality, and the printing is clear. Fingering notations are helpful. It's nice to be able to buy this separately instead of as part of a collection. I have loved this piece for a long time, and I can't improve on any of the previous comments about the music itself.

    The sheet music came quickly and is a very good quality product. I got to work sooner than expected on the fingering for a friend and delivered it to him that Sat. I see Sheet Music Plus as a great resource and will continue to use them in the future.
