Concert Band - Level 1 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.872428

Composed by Public Domain Children and s Song. Arranged by James K. Taylor. Contemporary. Score and parts. 6 pages. James K. Taylor #50595. Published by James K. Taylor (A0.872428).

This is a fun arrangement of SKIP TO MY LOU (and won’t you have fun saying the title?). I use a "fail safe" beginning band instrumentation. 1. Flute, Oboe, Bells 2. clarinet (trumpet double) no playing across the break 3. Alto Sax 4. Tenor Sax (horn double) 5. Trumpet (clarinet double) 6. Horn (tenor sax double) 7. Trombone, baritone, bassoon (bass clarinet and bari sax double) 8. Tuba 9. Percussion (snare and bass drum) I include a bass clarinet/baritone TC part and a bari sax part. Measures are numbered in both score and parts. I keep the horns low to work on accuracy and a big sound instead of doubling the alto part. I retired last year after 38 years of Texas band directing. This formula worked great with my beginning bands. Thanks. Jim Taylor (James K.).
