Franz Gruber’s Christmas Eve serenade “Silent Night” was arranged and recorded as part of Keith’s 2006 recording entitled Songs of December. This relatively easy solo uses an altered tuning of the 5th string creating a drone effect during the introduction and first few measures of the melody. Contemporary harmony, guitar harmonics, and embellishments to the original melody combine to give this classic Christmas song a fresh sound. The arrangement includes detailed fingerings, standard notation with tablature for ease of learning. It’s a must have for annual Christmas holiday events and church services.
