Sightreading Journey is designed to help adult students journey into the world of music reading. This method begins with very basic information and sequentially adds range and rhythm. 30 short reading samples move from 1 line staff to a full staff by gradually fanning out from do and emphasizing intervallic reading. To allow for maximum flexibility, absolute pitch is not employed; this allows a wide choice of instrument and voice friendly ranges. From the start, students experience moving both up and down first in steps which are followed by intuitive intervals. The verbiage is minimal while the print is large. Although particularly intended for mature learners, the format is appropriate for any age. .
