Published by William Hawley (A0.1201038).This is the autograph manuscript score of William Hawley's Seven Madrigals, composed in 1986 for the vocal ensemble Chanticleer. This score, in the original keys for ATBar.B voices, formed the basis for the 1996 publication of Six Madrigals by Hinshaw Music, which is the current standard performing edition constituting the first six of the original madrigals arranged by the composer for SATB ensemble in higher keys. The audio sample is the complete World Premiere live recording of Chanticleer performing the first madrigal, "Vita de la mia vita".
