Luigi Carvelli is one of them: He lived in the second half of the 19th century and died after the turn of the century. Carvelli is supposed to have been a hornist in the area of Torino/Milan and played at the world premiere of Verdi's 'Falstaff'. The only extant work is his 'Serenata Napolitana' – a delightfully catchy and melodious little piece, ideal as a little performance piece for lessons or as an encore, as a special treat after a major sonata programme.
Carvelli a vécu dans la deuxième moitié du XIXe siècle et mort après le tournant du siècle. La seule œuvre qui nous soit parvenue est sa Serenata napolitana” – une délicieuse petite pièce mélodieuse, idéale à jouer dans les cours de musique ou encore en rappel.
