The wistful, melancholy melody co-exists with a flowing rhythmical Ostinato, which alternates between 3/4 and 6/8.
The composer hopes to create a vivid dreamscape, an illusion of beauty contradicted by emotional turmoil just beneath the surface. All disturbing elements seem to be relegated to the harmonic background, as the melody persists in reiterating itself again and again. Serenade in b minor is ideal for solo recitals, and also for private musical gatherings.
Originally composed and published in 2018, it is being presented here in a revised version.
