Septuaginta (The Version of the Seventy) is born as a small gesture of affection: the title is a playful tribute to the pianist who is celebrating her seventieth birthday, not an exegetical reading of the biblical text. Above all, the piece is intended as a discreet and
good-humoured gift.
The work is organised around the complex {3[2,1], 2, 1, 3[2,1], 2}, taken literally from the title itself. This pattern functions as a formal, rhythmic and harmonic generator.
May this edition serve both the performer and the listener: an invitation to listen to time with lightness and to celebrate maturity as a source of colour and freedom.
