What a pure Gem

This piece of music is one that I was not familiar with prior to a student needing to p,ay this for is University entrance auditions. The piece is absolutely fascinating and extremely musical. It uses the full range of the alto and is also a great way to introduce front fingerings to younger players. We sometimes as performers get caught up in technique and forget that musicality can be just as important and this piece is certainly that. I am now requiring this from all of my students.
