This well-known Baroque piece, L’Agreable was the first piece in a set of Five Old Dance Pieces for viola and basso continuo published in France in 1717. It is in Rondeau form using a two octave range on the melody instrument. The harp accompaniment considers which strings are still vibrating, finger placement and chromatics.
