Great Piano Support for Young Jazz Ensembles

For a collaborative pianist, the piano part in this 'Rock This Town' arrangement provides excellent rhythmic and harmonic support. The 'Easy Jazz Ensemble' texture ensures the piano seamlessly blends with the ensemble, rather than competing. It's a well-written chart by Rick Stitzel, perfect for guiding instrumentalists to lock into that driving swing/rockabilly feel. Ideal for school groups.

    Fun, Achievable Rockabilly Classic!

So glad to find an accessible arrangement of 'Rock This Town'! As an adult learner, the Grade 2 difficulty means I can actually play it with my community jazz band without too much stress. It captures that classic Stray Cats rockabilly/swing vibe perfectly. It's genuinely fun and makes me feel like I'm really part of the ensemble. Highly recommend for pure enjoyment!

    Solid Chart for Ensemble Gigs

A reliable arrangement of The Stray Cats' 'Rock This Town' that fits well into any set. The 'Easy Jazz Ensemble' grade means quick rehearsals, and the flexible instrumentation is a plus for varied gig lineups. I appreciate that it's an uptempo chart, and Hal Leonard usually delivers clear chord symbols for the rhythm section. Good to have in the book for community or club gigs.
